The CGS National Church Golf Cup Finals Day 2014 in partnership CVM took place at Waterstock Golf Club, Oxfordshire on Sunday 31st August 2014. It was a great day which saw 30 competitors both male and female battle it out in friendly competition for this annual cup. Golfing pairs represented churches from across the UK. The eventual winners for 2014 were Phil Watts and Keith Yates of Walsall Christian Centre.

Here we have a selection of photos from the day for your enjoyment. They can be viewed as a slide show here on this website (it's flash so won't work on iphones/pads).
If you would like printed copies of any of these photos, please visit the link below to visit our photo shop. There you can order prints, gifts and more sent direct to your door. Any profits from these sales will go straight back into helping us support churches put on more golf days such as these across the UK. Thank you.

The history and thinking behind the CGS National Church Golf Cup is also available to download.

Even though we have a partnership with a men's organisation in CVM, ladies are more than welcome to enter into the national cup.

Cup Co-ordinator Mark Blythe says: “Golf is a great sport for outreach, it’s a simple way to spend quality time with non Christian friends. Church golf days could be just a four-ball or a big event with a meal and speaker, we are called to do something and it doesn’t matter how large or small.”

Tips for first time organisers are available and churches who already stage events can just register and send their winners to the grand final. if you have any questions.

Who will follow Banners Gate Community Church from the West Midlands and become the 2014 CGS Church Golf Cup Champions?
